About Us
Habitat For Humanity of Henderson, Kentucky, Inc.
Building Homes, Communities, and Hope Since 1990
Habitat for Humanity of Henderson, Kentucky, Inc. was founded in 1990 with a simple mission: helping hardworking families achieve the dream of safe, decent, and affordable homeownership.
As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit housing organization serving Henderson County and surrounding communities, we believe in providing a hand up, not a handout. Through volunteer labor, community partnerships, donor support, homeowner education, and affordable mortgage financing, we help families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership.
Over the past three decades, our affiliate has grown from a small local housing ministry into one of the most active affordable housing organizations in western Kentucky. In 2026, we are celebrating our 35th year of service while preparing to dedicate our 100th Habitat home.
What once took years to accomplish is now happening at a pace we could have only dreamed of a decade ago. Thanks to our volunteers, sponsors, donors, ReStore customers, and supporters from across the country, we are building more affordable homes than ever before and helping more local families achieve the dream of homeownership.
From Kentucky Bourbon to Kentucky Homes
One of the biggest reasons for that growth is the incredible success of our annual Raise a Glass, Raise a House Bourbon Raffle.
What began as a creative fundraising idea has grown into one of the largest bourbon raffles in the nation. Thousands of bourbon enthusiasts from across the United States participate each year for a chance to win some of the rarest, most highly allocated, and most sought-after bottles in the bourbon world.
But the raffle is about much more than bourbon.
Every ticket purchased helps fund the construction of affordable homes right here in Henderson County. The success of this raffle has allowed Habitat for Humanity of Henderson, Kentucky, Inc. to accelerate home construction, serve more families, expand our impact, and continue meeting the growing housing needs of our community.
Simply put, bourbon lovers from across the country are helping local families become homeowners.
We are incredibly grateful for every participant who supports our mission while enjoying the opportunity to win world-class bourbon prize packages, exclusive experiences, custom collectibles, and personal prize delivery where legally permitted.
Our Habitat Story
Throughout our history, Habitat for Humanity of Henderson, Kentucky, Inc. has continually evolved to better serve our community.
From our early offices in downtown Henderson to the opening and expansion of the Habitat ReStore, our organization has remained committed to creating affordable housing opportunities for local families. Today, our headquarters and ReStore are located at 1030 Third Street in Henderson, Kentucky, where thousands of volunteers, shoppers, donors, and supporters help fuel our mission each year.
Because of this community support, we are currently building multiple homes simultaneously and planning for continued growth well into the future.
A Global Mission with Local Impact
Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1976 and has grown into a global housing organization serving communities in all 50 states and more than 70 countries.
The roots of Habitat trace back to Koinonia Farm in Americus, Georgia, where the belief that everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to live inspired a movement that continues today.
While we proudly share that global mission, our focus remains local. Every dollar raised through our raffle, ReStore, donations, sponsorships, and fundraising events stays right here to help families in Henderson County and our surrounding communities.
